The event, scheduled for 19-31 August in Wanaka, marks the first time a FIS World Championship will be staged in New Zealand, and also marks the first time that snowboarding and freestyle skiing will share the same stage in a World Championship. Snow Sports New Zealand are pleased that all three Wanaka-area ski fields will share the spotlight for August's 2010 FIS Snowboard & Freestyle Junior World Championships.

Gina Crawford (nee Ferguson) is a multiple Ironman Champion, and the current NZ Ironman Champion.

In 2009 she has won Challenge Wanaka (for second year running), Ironman Western Australia (for second year running), as well as Ironman NZ.

In 2010 she is planning to return and defend these three titles.

The Wildfoods Festival has previously been awarded the Most Unique Event in New Zealand and has twice been a winner in the New Zealand Tourism Awards.

Hi, I am Angie Koops and am the current open womens NZ national surfing champ, born in the beautiful NZ which I will always call home! but am currently residing in Australia on the Gold Coast. I moved there to 'push' my level of surfing, as the Gold-coast is re-nound for world class waves, professional coaches and producing world surfing champions. Gold-coast is the perfect training grounds for me, I live right in front of the beach, where I can surf everyday!! 
 
I am making my way back to NZ to try and defend my title again.... so I am hoping there will be contestable fun waves at piha this coming January.....I want to thank Jucy Rentals for helping me make my way to the event in their funky crib!  Thanks again Jucy :)

Jucy Rentals is sponsoring the Winter Games in NZ and is very excited to be a part of such a great event held in NZ!

Winter Games NZ is an elite, international winter sports competition, owned and run by the Winter Games New Zealand Trust. It will be held in Otago on a biennial basis utilizing the same venues on an ongoing basis. Although this is a world event the focus will be on Pacific Rim countries.

Every four years, the Games will act as a direct lead up to the Winter Olympics. This timing is perfect, being held during the northern hemisphere's off-season, 6 months before the Winter Olympics.

The event will provide elite winter sports athletes with the ultimate testing ground were they can experiment and explore performance limits against world class competition. The extreme nature of this competition means it will be a magnet for spectators who are attracted to a festival of exciting, edgy sporting performance and social entertainment.

The 100 Nation World Harmony Run is set to take Kiwi schools and our nationwide public by storm this September, 2008, and Jucy have opted to support this inspirational event by providing three relay team vehicles.

Runners from eight different countries will join local athletes, school children, civic and political leaders and sports personalities - including new patron and All Blacks coach Graham Henry - to run a few steps or miles of our nation's roads and highways to support the relay's message of harmony and friendship. The World Harmony Run - probably the largest participation relay in history - does not seek to raise money or highlight any political cause, but simply strives to spread goodwill among people of all nations.
