About Cairns

With an enormous 300+ days a year of sunshine, friendly locals always up for a yarn and an abundance of natural sites to explore, it’s not hard to see why two million domestic and international travellers visit Cairns each year.

Two must-sees on any Cairns itinerary have to be diving or snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef and a trip to the World Heritage-listed Daintree rainforest – both breath-taking, natural wonders that display Mother Nature at her finest.

If you’re after more thrills, head further afield to the Atherton Tablelands where you can soar high about the land in a hot air balloon. Don’t miss exhilarating grade 5 rivers which you can race down in white water rafts, or river kayaks.

To learn more about aboriginal culture, Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park is an award-winning experience telling aboriginal stories of creation using actors and holograms. Whilst you’re there, take a canoe ride to spot turtles.

Whether Cairns is the start of your adventure, or the very end, one thing’s for sure, you have the freedom to explore all that the region has on offer in your JUCY wheels.
